Morelea Farm Experience is the real deal – a chance to see a real Kiwi working farm and meet real-life farmers. Coach and Trade enquiries only please.
Stan and Angie Taylor have been welcoming international coach tours to their farm near Fairlie, at the gateway to the Mackenzie country since 1998.
Morelea Farm is an 800 acre working farm producing wool, lamb, beef and some dairy grazing stock. The location is stunning, nestled amidst rolling pastureland with a skyline of mountainous high country on the main South Island tourist route between Christchurch, Aoraki/Mt Cook and Central Otago (Inland Scenic SH72 to SH79 Geraldine>Fairlie).
Enjoy lunch or afternoon tea from Angie’s kitchen, relax at the long table near a crackling fire in the homestead, or barbeque on deck in summer while taking in the wonderful scenery. Beef and Lamb all from the farms livestock, salad from the garden, home baked bread, and Angie’s pavlova is legendary!
Stan provides more thrills with sheep shearing demonstrations, and watch the dogs round up a mob of sheep to meet you, close enough to touch if you wish. Feed the lambs in springtime.
Gain a rare insight into the day to day operation of farm life – Stan and Angie enjoy nothing better than to share their love of farming and local knowledge.
Note: FIT travellers are NOT catered for. Only coach trade is serviced. Bookings must be made in advance. For more information, check out the Morelea Farm website.
