The Aoraki Mount Cook region offers some of the most spectacular alpine scenery within the South Island of New Zealand. We combine an awesome scenic helicopter flight before you descend on to a snowy mountain to begin your snowshoeing experience.
Modern, lightweight snowshoes make walking easy, so you can enjoy the incredible experience on the mountain: natural silence and amazing views across the Mackenzie Basin to Aoraki Mount Cook, and the giants of the Southern Alps.
Your professional guide will lead you safely across the most spectacular mountain terrain whilst providing a friendly informative interpretation of the landscape around you. Build a snowman, or simply take in the pristine alpine air of this unique adventure.

The Alpine Guides base is at 98 Bowen Drive. All snowshoe tour departures are from Glentanner Park Centre, located on State Highway 80 (Mount Cook Highway).
