Open every day of the week from 7.30am until 4.30pm (except Christmas), where Franz Lieber and his team create gourmet pies and an array of amazing baked goods made with love – liebe means ‘love’ in German.

Their growing success is proof that you can taste the difference when a product is lovingly produced by hand. Each pie from the Fairlie Bakehouse is hand-filled so that the inside is always what you hoped for – rich, succulent and full of flavour. Being based in the middle of the South Island’s food bowl gives them access to some of the region’s finest ingredients. Where possible they use and celebrate local, seasonal ingredients of the utmost flavour and freshness.

The menu is constantly changing at the Fairlie Bakehouse. From fresh, cream-filled donuts, homemade bread, muffins or rich, flaky bee-stings there is sure to be something to tempt the tastebuds and be enjoyed with their barista-made coffee. They also cater for a range of dietary needs including gluten-free, vegetarian & vegan.
