Lake Tekapo based photographer George Empson is dedicated to capturing the beautiful scenery of the Mackenzie Region.

George was given his first camera on his 10th birthday.  The ‘50s and ‘60s were a special time for George. He would explore his surroundings with a fishing rod over one shoulder and his prized Kodak 127 over the other. This would develop into a serious pursuit of outdoor and landscape photography, as George would capture the unique mood that is the Mackenzie.
