Possum Cottage is a self-contained cottage on a sheep, deer and cattle farm. It is an ideal base to explore the Mackenzie Region or relax with beautiful country views. It is family-friendly in a farmyard setting, the cosy three-bedroom cottage can accommodate 8-10 people comfortably. Children will have endless fascination with the farmyard animals and can help with their feeding routine. Guests are welcome to walk and explore the native wilderness and tussock land on the farm, or just absorb the peace of the country.

The cottage has full kitchen, log fire, heat pump, two TVs and laundry.

In winter, Mt Dobson Ski Area and Roundhill Ski Area both offer great family skiing and adventure. Lake Opuha, just north of Fairlie is a treat in the summer to fish, swim, and boat.

Located at 513 McLeans Road. Upon arrival into Fairlie via Geraldine turn left on State Highwy 8 (signposted to Timaru). If travelling from Queenstown just travel straight through Fairlie. Travel approx 4km and take the first right called McLeans Road. Possum Cottage is 5km up at the very end of this road. Head past the farm sign “Bedeshurst” and turn left into the farmyard.
