Silverstream Hotel

The Silverstream Hotel Kimbell is the Mackenzie Region’s historic country pub. Come in to experience it yourself – warm up by the fireplace, enjoy a mulled wine, hot buttered spiced rum or craft beer on tap, and taste test their Kimbell Burgers. All enjoyed either inside the pub or in the expansive beer garden. Weekly meal specials, desserts, a kids menu, as well as take-away options are also available.

Established in 1877, the “New Stone Hotel” – as it was referred to in its very first advertisement in the Timaru Herald – “has been fitted up with every Convenience for the accommodation of Travellers, Private Families, Picnic and Wedding Parties. The Scenery in the neighbourhood is extremely beautiful and well worthy of the attention of tourists. Wines, Ales and Spirits of the Choicest Brands.” The same remains true today.
